Bronagh Murray is an Irish designer & maker who specialises in couture hand embroidery and crochet. She is based in Glasgow, Scotland.
Bronagh is a graduate of Glasgow School of Art where she received a Bachelor of Arts in Textile Design, specialising in Embroidery.
Her practice is inspired by the use of traditional technique and crafts in a contemporary context. She is particularly interested in how these techniques can be used to promote sustainability in the Fashion Industry.
In 2023, Bronagh was awarded a full scholarship to attend the first Cohort of The CHANEL and Prince’s Foundation Métiers d’art Embroidery Fellowship in partnership with le19M. For 6 months she recieved advanced embroidery training in Ecole Lesage in Paris and Highgrove Traditional Crafts in Gloucestershire.
Bronagh now works freelance as a hand embroiderer for international Ateliers and fashion brands.
